The Courage to Grow-Chapter 5

Chapter 5 — The Courage to Grow-The Healing Garden Collection

By the time I painted this one, I understood something I hadn't known when I started this collection.

Healing isn't just about finding beauty. It isn't just about honoring your truth or embracing who you are. Those things matter — they are the foundation. But at some point, after all of that, you have to actually grow.

You have to release the seeds and trust they'll land somewhere good.

You have to stand in the violet dark and reach upward anyway. Not because you know where you're going. But because growing is simply what you have to do.

That's what these dandelion clocks are doing.

Delicate seed heads hover and drift against a luminous background of deep violet, teal, and soft gold — each one in the act of letting go. Not holding on. Not waiting for the perfect moment or the perfect conditions. Just releasing, trusting, floating toward wherever they are meant to land.

Queen Anne's Lace drifts through the composition like lace on the wind, soft and unguarded. Everything in this painting is mid-release. Mid-flight. Mid-becoming.

This is what courage actually looks like. Not bold and dramatic. Quiet. Steady. A seed letting go in the dark.

That's what we're all doing, isn't it?

Every time we let go of who we were to become who we are meant to be. Every time we release a version of ourselves that no longer fits. Every time we stand in the unknown and reach upward anyway — not because we're certain, but because something in us simply has to grow.

This painting is for every woman who has ever been brave enough to let go and trust the landing.

The garden is open. You are welcome here. 💜
